The red wine Bela Rex, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Gesellmann has been rated in 2019 by Peter Moser with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot from the region Central Burgenland in Austria.
Dark ruby with purple reflections, brightening to the rim. Delicate savoury oak and a touch of nougat combine with ripe dark berry fruit, blackberries, cherries, and candied orange zest. Juicy and elegant, the pronounced ripe cherry fruit character is supported by velvety tannins and a rich, mineral structure. Delicate chocolate rounds off the finish. Already well developed and very drinkable.
