The white wine »Reserve« Hilsbach Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2022 from the winery Weingut Heitlinger has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 93+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Baden in Germany.
There is some new wood on the nose, aromas of banana and sweet popcorn. The palate structure flows smoothly and is carried by fine phenolics, a tension and fullness of precisely balanced acidity gives great length. Mineral finish. Elegant and full of certain ageing potential.
More about the tastingMedium golden yellow with ripe fruit aromas on the nose: pineapple, pear, grapefruit and also yellow plum, oak savouriness, yellow flowers and some cider. Shows substance, power and style on the palate, with a soft base, firm structure, stable acidity, refined phenolics and a mineral foundation. Good length, young and with certain ageing potential.
