The white wine »Reserve« Hilsbach Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Heitlinger has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Baden in Germany.
Rich, yellow fruit and ethereal notes, chamomile blossoms, yellow apple peel, macadamia nuts, rye bread and ripe papaya. Smoky, roasted notes on the palate, with barrel notes coming through, also an elegant lactic acidity. Definitely decant!
More about the tastingVery varietal, yellow-fruity aroma, with ripe pear, yellow apple and a touch of banana. With air, there is also a light interplay of spices (young fennel) and some vanilla. Full-bodied, yet not overpowering, but invigorating, with a savoury, fruity finish.
