The white wine »Réserve« Chardonnay, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Hellmer has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
On the nose there are still noticeable notes from the wood aging, supported by aromas of pear, yellow apple, melon, and hazelnut. On the palate, the wine is powerful with a firm structure, marked by the time in oak, balanced and substantial with a delicate vein of acidity and restrained fruit redolent of tart apple, with green walnut notes. A little ageing doesn’t hurt, a gastronomically versatile wine.
