The white wine Sauvignon Blanc trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Juliusspital has been rated in 2019 by Ulrich Sautter with 89+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Sylvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
It is quite developed in its fruit, almost with a spiciness reminiscent of ripe Silvaner. Meadow herbs, some citrus, and pomelo. Expansive on the palate but also dense, well-integrated wood, it has substantial reserves for further years of ageing a firm, slightly isolated acid backbone.
