Dark ruby with purple reflections, brightening at the rim. Underlaid with savoury wood, the nose has black cherries, blackberries, some meadow herbs, a ripe fig touch, and candied orange peel. Showing good complexity on the palate, it is juicy with a nougat touch, sweet fruit, ripe tannins, a fresh structure, and plums on the finish. Good length and certain ageing potential.
More about the tastingDeep ruby, purple reflections, brightening at the rim. Delicate wood spice aromas underpin blackberry, meadow herbs, a touch of ripe fig and candied orange peel. Good complexity, juicy, nougat nuance, juicy plum finish, very persistent. Will certainly improve with age.
