Relatively clear wood on the nose, with a herbal-spicy edge, yeast notes and vivid cherry fruit. Some marzipan, soy sauce and almond kernel also emerge. Broad volume on the palate is balanced by ripe acidity and beautiful spiciness. The core of cherry fruit is not too ripe, the tannin is grippy, and there's beautiful freshness and also tension. Certain ageing potential.
