The white wine »Réserve« Chardonnay, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Knipser has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Subtle roasted wood notes. Some apple. Macadamia nut. Still very closed overall. The palate shows an enormous phenolic character, very dense, ripe, flanked by a balanced degree of suppleness and firm acidity, also with tactile chalky minerality, very compact, capable of maturing for years to come and in need of the ageing; great!
