The white wine »Réserve« Chardonnay trocken, vintage 2023 from the winery Weingut Manz has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 91 - 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Elegant nose, delicate and almost restrained, then ripe pears, fresh wood, foliage, herbs such as thyme and verbena. Plump and full-bodied on the palate, the acidity remains positively in the background and only comes to the fore in the finish with great juiciness.
More about the tastingFine aromas: ripe pear, peach, kumquat, lemon, juniper, meadow herbs, wet stones, subtle wood savouriness and caramel. Full-bodied on the palate with lots of juice, light drive and good tension. With structurally fine phenolics, it is dense, has good length and certain ageing potential.
