Tasting Notes
A very unusual colour, a dark orange with brick coloured reflections, almost like a young Madeira. The aroma is reminiscent of quince jelly, chestnut honey, candied orange and Darjeeling. There are also peppery, chalky notes. On the palate, an oily attack is followed by firm, slightly dry tannins, the savouriness is vivid early on and also has yeasty, almond-like undertones. The acidity is well integrated and harmonises with the substance, tactile mineral notes dominate the finish. Unconventional and successful.
