The white wine »Reserve« Weißer Burgunder trocken, vintage 2020 from the winery Weingut Oekonomierat Johann Geil I. Erben has been rated in 2021 by Ulrich Sautter with 92+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Weißburgunder from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
There are aromas of spicy new oak, some pear, yellow apple, and straw blossom. It is full-bodied on the palate, with sheer power, but still balanced, with a seamlessly integrated acidity, and a floral character. It has great length, and is ideal to accompany rich dishes with cream sauces.
