The white wine »Grande Réserve« Chardonnay Barrique, vintage 2021 from the winery Weingut Ökonomierat Petgen-Dahm has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Chardonnay from the region Moselle in Germany.
Aroma of smoke and vanilla, clear imprint of barrel ageing, almond, ripe pear, apple skin, but also delicate herbal savouriness and mineral underpinnings. On the palate it presents with sweet, bright fruit, apricot, some mango, well-balanced acidity, juicy and smooth, noticeable residual sweetness, good structure, for targeted gastronomic use.
