The red wine »S« Merlot trocken, vintage 2018 from the winery Weingut Schneider-Pfefferle has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Baden in Germany.
The nose reveals aromas of dark chocolate and herbal liqueur. The palate begins with a distinctly smooth, pronounced fruit that lulls the qualitatively fine but quantitatively immense tannin load and makes it almost disappear for a moment. Only on the finish does the tannin become noticeable.
