The red wine Burweg Spätburgunder, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Wageck Pfaffmann has been rated in 2023 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points.
Bitter chocolate and black cherry on the nose, as well as elderberry and rosehip. On the palate, the wine has a lot of power and mellow tannins in high quantity, which take a strong hold of the palate. The acidity seems rather restrained, the fruit has (currently) medium intensity on the finish, but good length.
