Pasta: Sardinian Style Penne with Tuna and Sardines

Thinking about a holiday by the sea? Italian pasta with tuna and sardines.

Ingredients (4 servings)
1 onion, finely diced
2 handful garlic, peeled, finely chopped
1 can sardines fillets in olive oil
1 can tuna (80g)
olive oil
salt
pepper
fresh rocket for garnish
400 g penne pasta
200 g Spaghetti
  • Sweat the onions and garlic cloves in olive oil. Add the diced tomatoes.
  • Chop the sardine and tuna and add to the tomato sauce. Simmer the tomato sauce and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Meanwhile, cook the pasta in salted boiling water, drain excess water and mix with the sauce.
  • Arrange the Sardinian pasta and garnish with the fresh rocket.
