Porridge Power Bowl with Raspberries

This bowl of oats, nuts, seeds and raspberries is a far cry from a plain bowl of oatmeal porridge. Try it and give your morning a healthful and delicious boost.

Ingredients (1 servings)
200 ml oat milk
3 tablespoon(s) porridge oats
1 apple, grated
1 handful raisins
1 pinch(es) salt
5 fresh raspberries
50 g reduced-sugar raspberry jam
5–10 walnuts, chopped
1 tablespoon(s) flaxseeds
1 pinch(es) ground spice of your choice (cinnamon, allspice, turmeric); optional
  • Put the oat milk, porridge oats, grated apple and raisins in a pan set over a medium-high heat.
  • Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer until the oats are tender and the texture is creamy, 5–8 minutes.
  • Taste, add any of the ground spices of your choice (cinnamon, allspice or turmeric) and add salt. 
  • Allow the porridge to cool briefly, then spoon over the raspberry jam and sprinkle with the walnuts and flaxseeds. Top with the raspberries and serve.
