Ingredients

ripe gorgonzola cheese

streaky bacon, thin sliced
  • Line a baking tray with paper.
  • Using a paring knife, slit the dates lengthwise and carefully remove the pit without splitting the dates.
  • Fill each date with a little Gorgonzola and wrap with bacon.
  • Place seam side down on the baking tray.
  • Grill in the upper third of the oven for four to five minutes, until the bacon is crispy and the cheese starts to bubble and ooze.
  • The dates are extremely hot so let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
