The Diseca is actually called Diseca Ranina in its entirety and is a grape variety that has been cultivated for centuries in the wine-growing regions southeast of Zagreb in Croatia. It is therefore one of the country's long-established grape varieties. Little is known about its creation and origin. The Diseca matures late and develops female flowers. In this respect, it is often planted together with the Skrlet grape variety, which is particularly popular in the southeast of Zagreb, so that pollination occurs. The variety is officially approved in the Moslavina and Pokuplje regions. Diseca is known for developing an aroma similar to nutmeg. It is usually made as a pure variety. Occurrences outside Croatia are not known.
