Opening at Jelmoli Food Market
The gourmet event kicks off on 8 September with the opening at the Jelmoli Food Market. Under the motto "Farm to table", various chefs from Zurich's five-star hotels will bring the finest from the region "brutally local" to the table. The appetiser, for example, will come from the up-and-coming talents of the Zurich General Vocational School, who will serve Swiss pintxos.
In addition to various food parties and gourmet events, cooking sessions, lectures and workshops as well as the large Slow Food Market will be held. These include the 1001 Nights workshop, the Jam Session in FOOBY Chuchi, a gourmet hike in Winterthur northeast of Zurich, the Zurich Beer Festival, a Wine & Cheese Pairing by Beat Caduff and a gourmet dinner with chef Sven Wassmer.
