Caution: scam with digital entry card to Thailand
For almost a year now, the digital entry card has replaced the paper form in Thailand. The Immigration Office warns against dubious and expensive offers on websites.
The Thai Immigration Department is warning travelers about fraudulent websites related to the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), according to the Bangkok Post.
Since the introduction of the online system in May 2025, international visitors have had to enter their entry data digitally in advance. Registration is obligatory, but free of charge.
Nevertheless, an increasing number of unofficial platforms have emerged that charge fees of up to 90 US dollars (just under 80 euros) for the same service. According to the authorities, around ten percent of travelers use such fee-based offers - often in the belief that they are official sites.
In addition to unnecessary costs, there is also a risk of personal data being misused. Some websites collect extensive information under the pretext of additional services such as e-visa applications. The authorities therefore strongly recommend that you register exclusively via the official website: https://tdac.immigration.go.th/arrival-card/
