How to feel like James Bond

Fans can immerse themselves in the world of James Bond with travels inspired by the movie series.

Luxury travel company Black Tomato has developed 007-inspired travel experiences and has revealed more details of the adventures that customers can enjoy. Fans of the movie series will be able to choose from a menu of tailormade experiences created with EON Productions and the 007 film production crew. They could decide to learn action stunts with Daniel Craig´s stunt double Lee Morrison, gain access to the Bollinger estate, explore the Cote d´Azur onboard a yacht, or learn about special effects across the 007 films from Oscar-winning special effects supervisor, Chris Corbould.

The travel company has crafted a 12-night journey named ‘The Assignment’, a selection of experiences in five European locations. This itinerary will culminate in Venice with a dining experience at the Murano glass factory where Bond and Chang battled in Moonraker. Travellers may also customise their itinerary, choosing from various experiences in the UK, France, Monaco, Italy, and Austria. Trips range from five nights to any length of time desired, with prices from £15,000 per person. Only 60 limited-edition trips are available for purchase.

Experiences include a guided, high-speed chase down the Thames in the original Superhawk 34 from The World Is Not Enough, with a drone capturing the entire pursuit.

From here, travellers can train with Lee Morrison, the award-winning stunt coordinator who has worked on the last five Bond films. In France, travellers can access the Champagne Bollinger Chateau and Estate in the village of Ay, Champagne. They will tour the vineyards by vintage Land Rover, explore the 1829 Reserve Cellars, and enjoy a guided tasting of a La Grand Année vintage, sipped by Bond in Casino Royale.

Cote d'Azur and Austria

Travellers may also explore Cote d'Azur, accompanied by actress Carole Ashby who appeared in Octopussy and View To A Kill alongside Roger Moore, and head to the Casino de Monte-Carlo for a behind-the-scenes tour and time at the tables with Andreas Daniel, who consulted and played the part of the dealer for the unforgettable Texas Hold'em game in Casino Royale.

A Bond ski odyssey awaits travellers in the Austrian mountains of the Ötztal Valley, where they can experience this landscape at their own pace and on freshly-groomed piste. At the summit of Gaislachkogl, they can take part in a behind-the-scenes tour of 007 Elements, accompanied by Oscar-winning Chris Corbould OBE – the Bond special effects supervisor who has worked on 15 of the franchise’s films.
