To celebrate its 250th anniversary, the Champagne house Veuve Clicquot has opened a pop-up restaurant in London, serving British classics and Champagne for a week.
From April 22 to April 30, Champagne lovers can visit Veuve Clicquot’s British-themed restaurant at 59 Greek Street Soho in London to celebrate the iconic house’s 250th anniversary.
Dubbed ‘The Sunny Side Up Café by Veuve Clicquot’, the pop-up offers British classics with a Clicquot spin including egg and Marmite soldiers, waffles with spiced maple syrup and a luxury bacon bap. The menu aims to capture the elegant character of Veuve Clicquot while the retro yellow design is inspired by the house’s iconic ‘Yellow Label’ Champagne.
A traditional British breakfast, vegetarian options and takeaway rolls, complemented with Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and Rosé, are also available.
Chef Andi Oliver says, “I am so excited to work with Veuve Clicquot whose whole philosophy is about audacious women who defy the status quo, boldly and with aplomb! And that is something I identify with entirely.”
In February, Veuve Clicquot also organised a bespoke train journey aboard the Orient Express that took guests from France to Italy to celebrate its 250th anniversary.
