Olivier Krug: As a teenager in London, spending time with people in the wine trade.
Who is your favourite travel companion?
My iPhone because I can connect with Krug lovers everywhere.
To where will you always return?
London and Japan
What do you never leave for a trip without?
My passport, iPhone and credit card
What are your in-flight essentials?
I sleep on flights.
Do you plan every detail of your trip or just let things flow?
I let it flow, every night I look at the following day’s agenda and take it one day at a time.
What criteria makes you book a hotel, B&B or holiday home?
It has to be central.
What is your favourite means of travel?
Train
Your most memorable destination?
The first time I visited Japan was the most memorable.

I am only using apps now.
Olivier Krug is the director of Champagne Krug. He is the oldest of five siblings and took over the reins at his family’s Champagne house in 1989, becoming the sixth generation at the helm. Krug studied economics and finance and then was sent to learn the global wine trade: in the US, England and Japan. He is a father of four, an avid football fan and concert goer.
