The Best Pizza Awards 2024: Milan celebrates the future of pizza
At The Best Pizza Awards at the end of September in Milan, guests can expect exciting presentations, workshops – and the award for the best pizzaiolos in the world.
On September 30, 2024, Milan will be transformed into the Mecca of the pizza world when the fourth edition of the Best Pizza Awards takes place. Organized by The Best Chef and supported by pizza flour manufacturer Molini Pizzuti, the motto of the event is The future of pizza. It's all about how technological innovation and sustainable practices can shape the future of this popular dish.
The event highlights not only the long tradition of pizza, but also its adaptability to different cultures and culinary styles around the world. Antonio Ruotolo, Director of The Best Pizza project, explains: "We are proud to be able to represent the development of pizza at an international level with this project. On September 30, we will be talking to top chefs about the future of pizza and gaining valuable insights into its further development."
Innovation and tradition
A special highlight will be the Pizza Talks, where renowned chefs such as Albert Adrià (Enigma, Barcelona), Franco Pepe (Pepe in Grani, Caiazzo) and other experts will talk about the combination of innovation and tradition. There will also be four workshops where different pizza styles – from classic to innovative – will be presented. Visitors can look forward to creations by pizza experts such as Antonio Cavoto and Salvatore Miele.
The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of The Best Pizza 2024 awards, where outstanding pizzaiolos will be honored in various categories. From the best Margherita pizza to the most creative interpretation of deep-fried pizza – numerous awards await the best representatives of the trade. Afterwards, a pizza dinner invites you to enjoy and celebrate, accompanied by exclusive cocktails.
