"Small Luxury Hotels of the World" (SLH), the network of independent boutique hotels, has just announced the winners of the "SLH Awards 2025". Hotels and hoteliers from the global portfolio were honored in a total of twelve categories.
The "SLH Awards" recognize hotels that stand for quality, individuality and sustainability. The jury was based on guest reviews, secret audits, sustainability initiatives, brand commitment and industry recognition.
Among this year's winners is the Breidenbacher Hof in Düsseldorf, which was awarded "Hotel of the Year" for its combination of historical heritage, local roots and timeless elegance. The Dar Ahlam in Ouarzazate was awarded the "Considerate Hotel of the Year" prize for its sustainable management and promotion of local communities. In Bali, the "Desa Hay" received the title of "Resort Hotel of the Year", while the "Stein Eriksen Residences" in Utah was highlighted as "Country House Hotel of the Year".
SLH is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year and today manages a portfolio of over 650 boutique hotels in more than 90 countries.

"City Hotel of the Year": "Lanson Place Causeway Bay", Hong Kong - as an outstanding urban retreat.
"Country House Hotel of the Year": "Stein Eriksen Residences", Park City, USA - for the reinterpretation of the rural retreat.
"Resort Hotel of the Year": "Desa Hay", Bali, Indonesia - for a combination of tranquillity, design and service quality.
"Most 'Liked' Hotel": "The Retreat Koh Chang", Trat, Thailand - for the highest response on the SLH social media channels.
"Considerate Hotel of the Year": "Dar Ahlam", Ouarzazate, Morocco - for sustainable and stylish hospitality.
"Hilton Honors Award": "The Terrace Club Wellness Thalasso at Busena", Nago, Japan - for outstanding guest reviews within the Hilton partnership.
"Hotel Hero Award": "Germain Duchanaud", Concierge - "Grand Hotel du Palais Royal", Paris, France - for special commitment and excellent service.
