Travel tip: Summer Wine School in Porto
From July to September, travellers can quench their thirst for knowledge at World of Wine's Summer Wine School in picturesque Porto.
Porto is not a destination that is enjoying increasing popularity for nothing. Picturesque, fragrant streets, a stunning waterfront location and, of course, (Porto) wine are just the obvious reasons to book a trip to the heart of Portugal. Those who would like to spend their summer in the famous wine cellars of Porto can now get the necessary expertise through the “Summer Wine School” by World of Wine.
Summer, sun, wine seminar
For three months, from July to September, wine training courses are held on all kinds of topics. The courses last 30-45 minutes each, are offered in Portuguese and English and have an interactive structure - wine tastings are, of course, also on the schedule. There are a range of modules such as "How to taste wine properly" and "Discovering port wine". Participation is possible without reservation for the price of 18 euros per course.
Learning without commitment
“The idea is that interested people can sign up for as many modules as they want without committing to attending all of them – after all, it's summer, and we want the offer to remain light and relaxed. It's a great opportunity to learn more about the fascinating subject of wine and ideal for making the most of your free time,” said José Sá, director of the wine school.
