United Airlines to start flights to Stockholm, Málaga & Dubai

Trans-Atlantic travellers will have more flights to choose from in 2023, with United announcing it will add routes from New York to Stockholm, Málaga & Dubai.

United Airlines has unveiled its 2023 summer schedule, which will see the US carrier add new services from New York/Newark to Málaga, Spain; Stockholm, Sweden; and Dubai, UAE.

Málaga will become United's fifth Spanish destination when it starts flying there three times a week from 31 May 2023. The airline will begin direct, daily flights to Dubai on March 25 2023 and will return to the Swedish capital with daily flights from May 27, 2023.

"United saw historic levels of demand for travel to Europe in the summer peak, up 20% compared to 2019, and is focused on developing its network to serve continued demand strength," the Chicago-based carrier said in a statement.

It is also adding six more flights to some of the most popular European destinations: Rome, Paris, Barcelona, London, Berlin and Shannon. In total, United will fly to 37 cities in Europe, Africa, India and the Middle East next summer, which it says is more destinations than all other US airlines combined.
