Mint Julep

The Mint Julep was being mixed long before the word cocktail even existed — in the 18th century, it was enjoyed in the morning, often made with rum.

Ingredients (1 servings)
10–12 Mint leaves
1 Sugar cubes
3 dash Angostura Bitters
6 cl Bourbon whiskey
Crushed ice
  • Rub the mint leaves briefly between your hands and add to the glass.
  • Add the sugar cubes and Angostura, pour in the bourbon and stir well. Top up with crushed ice at the end.
