At the Blaue Gans, Andreas Gfrerer is always thinking outside the box. A new kitchen concept is currently being developed in the city's oldest restaurant - and it's guaranteed to be special.
The guarantors of Auerhahn's popularity and Gerhard Pongratz's cuisine are the best ingredients, creative preparation and the regulars' favourite classics: from fried chicken to perch and sweetbreads.
Salzburg inn legend, where Tobias Brandstätter spices up the tried and tested with a pinch of ideas. The fried chicken is a suspected hit, but the shoulder of beef and creamy veal goulash are no less delicious.
High above the rooftops of the trendy Andräviertel district, Austrian and international cuisine classics (Barbarieente) are served. Hospitality is the order of the day here, from breakfast to evening cocktails.
A new kitchen wind is blowing here. Günther Grahammer has taken over the kitchen and will probably continue the classic concept with Austrian and international dishes. It will be interesting to see.
In the original ambience from 1866, you can enjoy Austrian classics as well as seasonal and refined creations from international cuisine with a view over the Salzach and the old town.
There is only one maxim: it has to be good! Lukas Hagenhofer gives the new kitchen in his Ueberfuhr a facelift with fresh traditions such as "Roasted Oxnmark" or sheep's cheese Pannacotta.
Here, zeitgeist meets architectural art. In this cool setting, you can enjoy steaks, Asian food or fish, new and traditional dishes - from breakfast to dinner. The sky bar is great.
Perhaps W. A. Mozart already enjoyed the view and the cuisine? In any case, festival and other guests do so today and enjoy not only the view, but also the great cuisine.
Executive Chef Michael Gahleitner shows what classics are. From the kitchen comes a perfect Tafelspitz, an equally perfect Wiener Schnitzel or the famous "SalzBurger". The cake too, of course.
Here too, the new head chef Günther Grahammer will set the tone, as he has already done in the "big brother", the Goldener Hirsch. But the classics, lunch menu and the famous bratwurst sausages are sure to be gastronomic firm favourites.
The place is unique, the food concept bears the signature of top chef Andreas Senn. From the excellent breakfast to the "Nightcup" - even simple pimientos take on new facets with miso.
The gastronomic spectrum of the inn in the heart of Salzburg ranges from perhaps the best bratwurst to kitchen classics and baroque dishes. The famous Salzburger Nockerln dumplings are also served here.
Traditional dishes are served alongside Mediterranean delicacies at Kajetanerplatz. Truffle dippers meet black pudding grandma's style. Seasonal dishes can be found on the daily menu.
Fine dining under the glass dome and with magnificent views of Salzburg. Due to the renovation work, we are suspending the rating this year and are looking forward to the planned opening in spring 2024.
