DIE NUMMER 1 DER PREMIUM-BRANDYS Der Carlos I von Osborne ist ein seidig-weicher Brandy aus Andalusien, dem Süden Spaniens. Seine Reife erlangt Carlos I im Solera-Verfahren, welches im Falle von Brandy de Jerez ausschließlich aus ehemalgien Sherry-Fässern bestehen darf. »Carlos I Solera Gran Reserva« Brandy zeichnet sich besonders durch seine satte Bernsteinfarbe aus, die mit kräftigen goldenen Akzenten durchzogen ist. Am Gaumen ist er intensiv-aromatisch mit Noten von Vanille und Kakao, geschmacklich anhaltend, ausgewogen und komplex. 1816 kam ein junger französischer Aristokrat als Repräsentant eines Londoner Handelshauses ins spanische Cadiz. Er hieß Pierre de Domecq, hatte ein einnehmendes Wesen und erlangte in kürzester Zeit große Reputation. Sein geschäftlicher Erfolg ermutigte ihn, unter dem Namen Pedro Domecq ein eigenes Handelshaus zu gründen. Seine Nachkommen führten die Geschäfte mit großem Geschick weiter und machten dabei 1886 eine wegweisende Entdeckung. Im Keller ihrer Bodega stießen sie auf

In addition to hints of fine dried fruit and roasted nuts, there are subtle savoury oak notes with a hint of smoke. Leather and dried plums on the palate. Powerful finish with a mineral undertone.
