The grapes that are made into wine in the Klet Krško winery come from the vineyards of a cooperative of almost 200 winegrowing families. Together they cultivate 200 hectares of vineyards spread over the Dolenjska hills (up to 400 meters above sea level) with extremely steep slopes. The grapes for the varietal wine segment come mainly from the Bizeljsko-Sremič wine region. These are mainly our own vineyards, which thrive high above the Krško, in the Sremič vineyard (400 meters above sea level), which offers a unique climate with many sunny days for the desired parameters.
This is especially true for Modra Frankinja (Blaufränkisch). The wines of the Klet Krško winery have been maturing for almost a century in the ambience of the old cellar of the Šrajbarski Turn castle, and with every sip they reflect the knowledge and courage of a young but experienced team that strives at every step to exceed the wishes of modern wine lovers.
Cviček is a Slovenian wine speciality and the pride of the winery.The Klet Krško winery is located in the south-east of Slovenia, where the pleasant green landscape of Dolenjska lies in the Posavje wine region. And exclusively here is produced a lively Slovenian speciality: the Cviček wine. And the largest amount of Cviček is produced in the Klet Krško winery, which has been producing a million litres a year for a century, but is always on the cutting edge.
Cviček is special in its composition, as it contains at least four different grape varieties, of which the red varieties dominate over the white ones; especially Žametna Črnina (black velvet), which gives the wine lightness and drinkability. As a "Low Alcohol Wine" it absolutely appeals to modern wine lovers and is suitable at any time.
The TURN brand includes three groups of wines, divided into TURN Classic, TURN Premium and TURN Gourmet. In this way, wines have been upgraded from the simple litre version to a group of wines for the most demanding wine lovers.
The wines are provided with the personal touch of the oenologist and the peculiarities of each vintage and unique growing area, which gives them a refined and distinct character with emphasis on the variety.
