Vinarija Molovin

Falstaff Online Austria 2023 - Wineries - Eastern Europe

Molovin, a village in the south of the region and the Frusca Gora Nature Park in the Pannonian Plain, lent its name to the winery and is also located on a magical line, the legendary 45th parallel, which also connects Bordeaux with Piedmont, for example. Molovin, in the immediate vicinity of a vineyard covering around 60 hectares, is a historic place for Serbian viticulture, as it also lent its name to Wen Molovina. This vineyard is also home to the parcels of the Molovin winery, planted with Riesling, Traminer and Welschriesling, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Blaufränkisch. The Molovin winery is not only characterised by the use of the latest tools and knowledge in viticulture and winemaking, it is also the first winery in Serbia to be awarded an IFS certificate, a certificate that is only awarded to food producers who distinguish themselves by the particular purity of their products in compliance with strict criteria. The winery produces a white wine from Traminer, a white wine cuvée from Riesling, Welschriesling and Traminer, two rosé wines, one of which is a charming and original blend from Pinot Noir and Blaufränkisch, as well as two red wines.
