It's hard to believe, but viticulture is one of the oldest trades in Werder an der Havel, along with fishing. And the Werderer Wachtelberg is a Brandenburg vineyard with a long tradition. It was brought back to life in 1985 after a 100-year slumber and is now cultivated alongside the Galgenberg by the Lindicke family - pioneers in Werder, even 30 years ago their wines were considered rarities that were talked about (not only) in Berlin. The Sauvignon vom Wachtelberg shows that the sophisticated Loire variety also feels at home in the sands of the Mark Brandenburg.
