The Alphart winery in Traiskirchen in the Thermenregion stands for the highest wine quality and is a member of the "Traditionsweingüter Österreich". The family business can look back on more than 250 years of tradition. Around 30 hectares of shell limestone soil owned by the estate are planted with vines that are cultivated with the utmost care. The cornerstones for independent wines are a respectful approach to nature, the individual care of each vine, consistent yield reduction, meticulous selective hand-picking at the perfect harvest time and the gentlest possible processing. Only in this way is it possible to find the fine elegance and clear fruit of the grapes in the wines. The Alpharts pay particular attention to Rotgipfler and Chardonnay, each of which is vinified in several different ways. These two varieties mature into very special plants in the Burgundian vineyards of Rodauner, Rosenberg and Tagelsteiner.
The old Austrian variety Neuburger is also an important fixture in the Alphart range with the single vineyard Hausberg. The elegant red wines should not be overlooked either. Here, the focus is on juicy cuvées such as the strong pairing of fleshy Merlot and ripe Cabernet Sauvignon in the "Alpha" cuvée. They also vinify Pinot Noir ranging from classically fruity to multi-layered from the cool Rosenberg vineyard with an elegant structure and delicate red berry flavor.
Six times a year, the Alpharts "ausg'steckt". The Heurige serves as a platform for communication and for presenting their own wines. Here, tradition is continued, wine culture is cultivated in a pleasant atmosphere and emphasis is placed on the quality of the regional basic products in the kitchen. Heurigen classics such as spreads and salads as well as modernized family recipes of classic home cooking are offered.
