The Alphart winery in Traiskirchen in the Thermenregion stands for the highest quality wine and is a member of the "Traditionsweingüter Österreich". The family business can look back on more than 250 years of tradition. Around 30 hectares of Triassic limestone soil owned by the estate is planted with vines that are cultivated with the utmost care. The cornerstones for unique wines are a respectful approach to nature, the care of each vine, consistent yield reduction, meticulous selective hand-picking at the perfect harvest time and the gentlest processing. Only in this way is it possible to find the fine elegance and clear fruit of the grapes in the wines. The Alpharts pay particular attention to Rotgipfler and Chardonnay, each of which is vinified in several different ways. These two varieties grow into very special plants in the Burgundian vineyards of Rodauner, Teigelsteiner, Satzing and Goldlacke. The old Austrian variety, Neuburger is also an important fixture in Alphart's range with the single vineyard Hausberg. The elegant red wines should not be overlooked either. Here, the focus is on juicy blends of Zweigelt and Pinot Noir as well as the powerful pairing of fleshy Merlot and ripe Cabernet Sauvignon in the "Alpha" cuvée. The single-varietal Pinot Noir is a particular passion of the winemaking family and delights as a classic fruity variety as well as a reserve with an elegant structure and delicate red berry character. Six times a year, the Alpharts are "ausg'steckt". The Heurige serves as a platform for communication and for presenting their own wines. Here, tradition is continued, wine culture is cultivated in a pleasant atmosphere and emphasis is placed on the quality of basic regional produce in the kitchen. Heurigen classics such as spreads and salads as well as modernised family recipes of classic home cooking are offered.
