In the very east of the Kremstal winegrowing region, in Gedersdorf, the Buchegger wines flourish. The unique interaction of soil and climate produces wines of exceptional finesse and diversity, with elegance and minerality.
At the traditional Buchegger winery, terroir and origin are of utmost importance, and the preservation of the humus-rich soil is of paramount importance at all times. Only the best sites make the best grapes, and only good judgment produces the best wine. Silke Mayr and her dedicated team with cellar master Michael Nastl invest an extra portion of work where it is required and makes sense: "And we let nature take its course where necessary."
