Quinta do Vallado wurde 1716 gegründet und ist eines der ältesten und berühmtesten Anwesen im Douro-Tal. Es liegt am Ufer des Corgo, einem Nebenfluss des Douro, direkt an seiner Mündung und in der Nähe der Stadt Peso da Régua. Es gehörte der legendären Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira und ist bis heute in den Händen ihrer Nachkommen. Aroma : Reichhaltiges Aroma bestehend aus Rauch und Noten von Trockenfrüchten und Zigarre. Geschmack : Am Gaumen sehr rund, seidig und süß. Sehr cool. Service : Muss zwischen 15ºC und 17ºC serviert werden, erfordert kein Dekantieren. Passt zu Hartkäse, Vorspeisen oder Gebäck.

Intense, rich nose with notes of dried fruit such as dates, raisins and figs, as well as savoury and smoky nuances, including pickled walnuts. Very balanced and creamy-soft on the palate. Finishes long with fruity, savoury notes.
