The red wine Truquilemu Vineyard field-blend Lot #97 Empredado Maule Valley, vintage 2018 from the winery Garage Wine Co. has been rated in 2023 by Peter Moser with 98 Falstaff points.
A complex and piquant fresh fruit, elderberry juice, blackberry, also apricot and ripe cherry, plum confit. ON the palate the wine is immediately tactile and mineral, the taut tannin radiates a lot of freshness and hints at ripeness; certain ageing potential, but without being astringent. The firm acid framework gives lift and tension to the fruit finish, grippingly dense and very individual.
