The red wine »Vieilles Vignes« Minervois Rouge, vintage 2022 from the winery Pierre Cros has been rated in 2024 by Ulrich Sautter with 90+ Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Carignan from the region Minervois in France.
Dense and savoury on the nose, smoke, light and dark, wild berries, red cherries, mint, cinnamon wood, star anise, chili pepper, garrigue, dark chocolate. Chocolaty on the palate, powerful, fresh fruit, lively acidity and velvety phenolics capture the alcohol well and savouriness carries into the length.
