The red wine Ried Altenberg, vintage 2020 from the winery Allacher Vinum Pannonia has been rated in 2022 by Peter Moser with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, St. Laurent, Merlot from the region Lake Neusiedl in Austria.
Deep dark ruby colour with opaque core, purple reflections, delicate brightening on the rim. Fine notes of red forest berries, delicate nuances of heart cherries, a touch of chocolate, herbal nuances in the echo. Juicy, tight, velvety tannin structure, mineral and salty, black cherries in the aftertaste, fresh finish, will benefit from bottle ageing.
