Rich, deep dark ruby with a slight garnet edge. A dense and compact nose, showing notes of licorice, dark chocolate, then lots of blackberry and black currant, distinct and well defined. The palate is supple and rich, opening with lots of vivid fruit and fine-grained, polished, but at the same time also very dense tannins. Builds nicely towards a salty and fruit-rich drive on the finish.
