The red wine Athos Rotwein - Vino Rosso, vintage 2018 from the winery Ansitz Dolomytos Sacker has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Clear ruby with a rich rim. Presents itself in the nose with notes of blackberry and dark currant, plus some smoke, cedar wood and green pepper. Full-bodied, fills the mouth, shows fine wild berries and some savoury pine needles, opens up with fine, very well integrated tannins, savoury finish.
