The red wine Valle Cupa Salento IGT, vintage 2017 from the winery Apollonio Casa Vinicola has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 88 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Primitivo, Negroamaro from the region Puglia in Italy.
Intense, deep ruby red. On the nose an interesting and warm aroma of blackberry and blueberry, with more pronounced notes of sweet spices and tobacco. In the mouth powerful, alcoholic, with good acidity and a persistent finish. A nice liquorice in the finish.
