Ruby garnet. Fresh cherries and plums, some nougat, a hint of dried fruit, some damp undergrowth. Complex, shows a fresh arc of acidity, followed by a massive, demanding tannin block that forms the backbone of the wine, some cassis on the finish, sticks well, by no means ready to drink. Requires further ageing.
