The red wine Barolo DOCG Cerretta, vintage 2020 from the winery Azelia has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Brilliant, brightening ruby garnet. Dense and memorable nose, initially of honeycomb, then lots of raspberry and dried tomato, earthy components in the background. Full-bodied and with dense tannins on the palate, builds up powerfully, also displaying beautiful ripe fruit, with plenty of drive on the finish.
