The red wine Chianti Classico Riserva, vintage 2012 from the winery Azienda Agricola Casavecchia alla Piazza has been rated in 2016 by Othmar Kiem with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Sangiovese from the region Chianti classico in Italy.
Brilliant, intense ruby. Rich nose with notes of preserved cherries and raspberries, inviting. Round and supple in attack and finish, shows plenty of ripe berry fruit, opens with grippy tannins, interwoven with fine melting.
