The franciacorta Palazzo Lana Extrême Franciacorta Riserva DOCG Extra Brut, vintage 2011 from the winery Berlucchi Franciacorta has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Franciacorta in Italy.
Straw yellow in colour with a drop of copper, and a persistent mousse. On the nose there's a mix of cold smoke, sea salt and elegant woody notes, with milk chocolate, candied fruit and fine porcini mushroom in the background - a very complex and inviting nose. Balanced and similarly very elegant on the palate, with lots of juicy fruit texture. It's pure and bone-dry, with a tightly meshed mousse that lingers for a long time.
