Brilliant dark ruby red. Rich fruit on the nose, blackcurrants, blackberries, black leather, cassis, a hint of precious wood and fumé. Lots of grip and balsamic, minty fruit on the palate, stretches out nicely, good length, finishes on hearty tannins.
More about the tastingA dense ruby red colour in the glass, delicate brightening on the rim. Notes of cherry, some blackberry and blackcurrant on the nose, with a hint of peppermint. Forest floor and tobacco notes with aeration. Impressive fullness on the palate. Harmonious with still vivid tannins and a certain astringency. Good length with savoury notes on the finish.
