A slight barrel note, bitter almond, a touch of petrol. The palate is full-bodied, firm acidity is balanced by subtle sweetness, some texture from the warmth of the year and the rounding off by maturation in large wooden barrels give the wine a distinctive interplay of pithiness and charm.
