This has a dark purple colour, with purple reflections. On the nose it is appealing, with aromas of ripe fruit, dried plum, blackberry, black cherry, and nuances of spices such as cinnamon and star anise. There is a medium fullness on the palate, with a ripe acidity, nice power, again dark fruit, and notes of pepper. It finishes long, and has fine noticeable tannins.
