The red wine Ennio Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG, vintage 2016 from the winery Bocale has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points.
It has a dark sinister ruby colour. The nose is very open-hearted and inviting, with a juicy wild berry aroma, as well as fresh elderberry, cassis, a hint of mint, and supported by an elegant orange scent. On the palate it is substantial, with vivid and radiant fruit, unfolding beautifully over the tongue, and with a precise finish. It has a lot of character, drinks beautifully, and will still develop well.
